As M-real’s boards and papers are mainly made of primary wood fibre, they are suitable for products with high-quality requirements, for high-end packaging, or for demanding application with strict safety standards such as food packaging.
We manage hygiene and product safety risks throughout the entire supply chain from product development to production and distribution by using materials of known origin and meeting or exceeding legislative requirements. All our board mills that produce consumer packages are, for instance, certified in compliance with the ISO 22000 food safety management standard.
Even minor details are taken into account in the product development to make sure that our products are safe for the environment and people. For example, thanks to the good ergonomic design of the transport boxes of our office papers, the boxes are safe and easy to move around.
