M-real reports regularly on the environmental impact of its activities in its Corporate Responsibility Report and mill-specific EMAS (Eco-Management Audit Scheme) reports.
The climatic impact of our individual products is reported in our carbon footprint calculations which have been conducted since 2007. The calculation adheres to the Carbon Footprint Framework for Paper and Board Products developed by the Confederation of European Paper Industries, CEPI.
We communicate our product-specific environmental data through Paper Profile declarations. Declarations are issued for individual products and provide data on product composition and key environmental parameters (emissions into water and air, waste and purchased electricity consumption e.g. COD, AOX, SO2, CO2). Information on environmental management and the Chain-of-Custody can also be provided.
